Colima is a small state on the western part of Mexico bordered by Jalisco, Michoacan and the Pacific Ocean. The stateÕs unique history and contemporary tourist facilities make it a one-of-a-kind destination for a variety of recreational activities.

Today, Colima is primarily known for its regional year-round fiestas, fresh seafood and exotic local beverages. Its cities perfectly embody the stateÕs festive atmosphere in its colorful streets, local hospitality and top-quality tourist facilities. Its peaceful bays and sophisticated port infrastructure have made it one of the major tourist destinations and sea harbors on MexicoÕs west coast, offering a variety of activities ranging from beach lounging and snorkeling to guided safaris of the Tlacota Tropical Rainsforest, to name a few. Colima's capital, the port city of Manzanillo, has been referred to as the sailfish capital of the world due to the large number of sailfish caught in its waters, hosting an annual sailfish tournament every year in November.
